Compliance Officer - Home Lending Compliance

Location 4910 Tiedeman Road, Brooklyn, Ohio Overview The Home Lending Compliance Officer will serve within the Home Lending Compliance team under Compliance Risk Management, providing support to Mortgage and Home Equity Origination lines by researching, interpreting, and applying laws and regulations to processes and systems. Essential Job Functions Serve as corporate compliance subject matter expert for Home Lending Origination. Apply banking/consumer compliance laws to risk management strategies. Build trust relationships within lines of business. Provide second-line oversight and monitoring of processes and controls, identify improvements and facilitate changes. Document testing results and provide concise management reports. Review policies and procedures for regulatory consistency. Educate and advise on regulatory matters. Provide independent review and challenge of business activities. Ensure systems comply with regulations. Participate in risk‑mitigation projects. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree required; industry experience may substitute. Minimum 3 years of compliance experience in financial services, especially Home Lending Origination or related audit roles. Proficient in mortgage and home equity regulations: TILA, RESPA, FCRA, ECOA, and other consumer protection laws. Experience with internal controls, risk assessments, and compliance processes. Strong relationship‑management, team collaboration, decision‑making, written and oral communication. Strong research, problem‑solving, analytical skills and attention to detail. Work Location Hybrid (3+ days in office) Compensation and Benefits Base salary ranges from $71,000.00 to $125,000.00 annually, subject to experience and location. Incentive compensation may include production, commission, or discretionary incentives. The role is eligible for the company benefits package.
