Hazley Builders | Architects is a relationship-driven residential design-build firm based in West Chester, PA. We specialize in high-quality residential remodeling, additions, and custom construction projects and are seeking a Residential Site Superintendent II to lead field operations from mobilization through project completion.

This role is for an experienced field leader who understands residential remodeling construction, project sequencing, subcontractor coordination, and jobsite execution. This is a hands-on field leadership role responsible for ensuring our projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to Hazley Builders | Architects' quality standards.

The Opportunity

We are hiring a Residential Site Superintendent II with 5–10 years of construction experience, including supervisory responsibilities. You will be responsible for leading daily field operations on assigned residential projects, coordinating subcontractors and in-house carpenters, maintaining the project schedule, and overseeing quality and safety on the jobsite.

You will work closely with the Project Manager while serving as the primary field leader and liaison between the jobsite and the project team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations for assigned residential construction projects
• Issue and maintain project schedules in coordination with the Project Manager
• Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, deliveries, and in-house carpenters
• Review construction drawings and specifications and identify potential conflicts
• Supervise carpenters and laborers assigned to projects
• Coordinate and direct subcontractor work on the jobsite
• Provide guidance and training to junior field staff
• Maintain daily site supervision to ensure schedule and production targets are met
• Track and execute approved Change Order Requests
• Maintain accurate jobsite records, including daily logs, photos, and progress updates
• Communicate regularly with the Project Manager regarding job progress, schedule, and field issues
• Provide timely updates regarding client requests and unforeseen site conditions
• Participate in project meetings as needed
• Serve as the jobsite Safety Officer and enforce company safety procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite
• Maintain high standards of workmanship throughout all stages of construction
• Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams

Required Qualifications

• 5–10 years of construction experience with supervisory responsibilities
• Strong understanding of residential remodeling and addition construction
• Proven ability to lead day-to-day field operations
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, carpenters, deliveries, and project schedules
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate professionally with clients while working in and around occupied homes
• Comfortable using computers and construction management technology
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred

Physical & Job Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, and sitting
• Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs
• Ability to travel to residential job sites as needed
• Ability to work at a computer or desk area for extended periods when required
• Ability to use a computer and see color
• Ability to remain alert and work safely in active construction environments
