Medical Oncologist - Buffalo, NY $170-$185/Hour VA Contract
Contract opportunity for a Board-Certified Medical Oncologist at a Veterans Affairs medical center in Buffalo, New York . Provide outpatient oncology care and inpatient consultations, with a three-day onsite clinical schedule and scheduled on-call coverage.
Opportunity Highlights
- 1099 independent contractor opportunity
- 3 onsite days/week 8 AM-4 PM
- Outpatient oncology care and inpatient consultations
- 17 weeks of on-call coverage annually , including nights and weekends
- Telephone response within 15 minutes and onsite response within 60 minutes when required
- Collaborative care with VA physicians and multidisciplinary clinical teams
- Anticipated contract start: January 2027
- Initial contract period through December 2027, with potential extension options
Compensation
- $170-$185/hour , anticipated 1099 rate
- Hotel and travel accommodations may be covered for traveling physicians
- Local physicians preferred due to on-call response requirements
- On-call compensation arrangements to be confirmed
Qualifications
- ABIM Board Certified in Medical Oncology
- Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license
- Current DEA registration
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Ability to meet VA credentialing and privileging requirements
- Availability for onsite clinical care and assigned on-call coverage
Location
Buffalo, New York VA Medical Center. Onsite clinical services with a preference for physicians who can meet the required on-call response times.
