3rd Shift - Tool and Die Technician Category: Professional Location: Greenville, SC 29607 Pay: $28.00 Hourly Status: Open Description 3rd Shift - Tool and Die Technician $28-$35hr 3rd Shift - 11pm-7am What's in it for you? Medical/Vision/Dental/Rx plans PTO/Vacation 401k Details Direct hire position $28.00 to $35.00 / hour Third shift Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on stamping dies and tooling Diagnose and repair progressive, transfer, and single-hit dies Disassemble, repair, and reassemble dies to restore proper function Build, modify, and adjust tooling, jigs, fixtures, and gauges Operate toolroom equipment including: Lathes, Milling machines, Surface grinders, Drill presses Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure tolerances Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and CAD drawings Support die changeovers and press setup for production Perform welding, fabrication, and heat treating as needed Identify root causes of tooling failures and implement improvements Maintain documentation of repairs and preventative maintenance Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Technical training in Tool & Die, Machining, or Industrial Maintenance preferred 3–7+ years of tool & die or toolroom experience (stamping environment preferred) Strong knowledge of: Metal forming and stamping processes, Tool steel properties and heat treatment, Mechanical systems and tolerances Experience with manual machining equipment (CNC a plus) Ability to read blueprints and perform precision measurements Welding (MIG/TIG) experience preferred Ability to troubleshoot tooling issues independently We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and celebrate diversity at all levels of our organization.
