Move Associate - Commercial Full Time Regular Capitol Heights, MD, US 30+ days ago Requisition ID: 1360 Salary Range: $17.00 to $21.00 annually About the Job You will assist truck drivers with loading, unloading, packing, and moving furniture safely and efficiently. You will push office furniture in and out of offices on dollies. You will provide excellent customer service, ensure satisfaction, and complete paperwork as needed. This is a very physical position that requires stamina, attention to detail, and a strong team-oriented mindset. Job Duties The role requires safely handling, packing, and unpacking furniture and cartons, as well as carrying them in and out of offices. You must be able to lift 50–100 lbs (up to 400 lbs with a team) and be able to push 50–100 lbs on 4‑wheel dollies and push 300‑lb loaded carts, possibly navigate stairs, and work on your feet for 6–10 hours daily. Additional responsibilities include wrapping and padding furniture, helping with paperwork, and ensuring all items are handled with care to avoid damage. Strong communication skills, a basic understanding of math and literacy, and a dedication to excellent customer service are essential. Each job should be approached with a strong work ethic and focus on customer satisfaction, as delivering quality service is a top priority. Employees are expected to adapt to varying job conditions and perform other duties as assigned. This may include helping with residential moves as well. Qualifications and Skills Education/Work Experience/Certificates: No school/work experience required -- just a willingness to learn and work hard.
