Supply Chain Manager

Job Details Salary: $100,000 - $140,000 per year. Job Objective: Responsible for all aspects of purchasing, production planning and scheduling, inventory and logistics within International and coordinates across offices. Develops and executes plans to meet short‑term and long‑term supply chain management/production control requirements. Responsibilities Complies with all Quality System procedures and work instructions. Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers. Negotiate best possible price, arrange discounts and favorable terms, resolve issues, create resources for alternative suppliers, and develop market sources. Proactively handle shortages and monitor market trends. Maintain positive relationships with subcontractors, ensure specifications, testing, and inventory controls are in place, assist in vendor/subcontractor evaluations, and enforce manufacturing compliance. Inventory Control: Build alternative supplier systems, monitor trends, maintain reports, coordinate return and finished goods logistics with third‑party providers, and manage stock status to support client orders and forecasts. Process client orders: Verify purchase orders, coordinate processing and schedule changes, manage open‑order schedules, enter orders into the MRP/ERP system, and forecast raw material needs. Analyze and design lean manufacturing cells using effective systems and simulation tools to optimize space, equipment, material, and personnel. Stay informed of new technologies and aid in cost reduction through re‑engineering. Collaborate with research and development, quality assurance, and maintenance to prevent product and tooling issues, attend design reviews, and eliminate root causes of manufacturing errors. Maintain the company database. Conduct standard cost evaluations and updates. Mentor others performing supply chain functions (order entry, returns, allowances, production scheduling, planning, and shipping). Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations. Respond to project milestones, resolving financial project issues impacting success. Authorize ECOs and temporary deviations, and maintain Manager Project Documentation (MPD). Prioritize tasks to meet organizational and departmental goals. Perform other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Oversee the Senior Supply Chain Specialist: interview, hire, train, assign work, appraise performance, reward and discipline, and resolve complaints and problems. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Bachelor’s degree with five years of work‑related supply chain experience or equivalent, preferably in engineering or manufacturing. Advanced problem‑solving, analytical, data analysis, critical thinking, decision‑making, and negotiation skills. Advanced knowledge of purchasing and inventory control principles. Strong organization, prioritization, and multi‑tasking abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office products. Experience with production/inventory control and ERP/MRP software. Excellent communication skills. Self‑starter capable of working under pressure with limited supervision. Professional collaboration with clients, vendors, and co‑workers.
