Accounting Assistant
The Accounting Assistant performs a variety of clerical and technical accounting duties in support of District business operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records, preparing and processing documents, data entry, filing, and assisting with financial reporting in accordance with District procedures and applicable regulations. This position will also assist in supporting daily front office operations at the District Office, including answering phones, directing calls, greeting visitors, and assisting staff and community members in a professional and courteous manner. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of modern office procedures and practices, demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail, and have a working understanding of basic accounting methods and procedures utilized in educational institutions.
Typing Certificate of at least 45 NWPM; * No online certificates accepted Must pass the District Administered Accounting Assistant Exam *Testing times and dates will be scheduled only to qualified applicants Must possess a High School Diploma or Equivalency; Must pass a D.O.J. background check Must pass a TB test / assessment
