As a Security Officer Patrol Access Agent in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related concerns, support access control activities, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, parking areas, entrances, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with location procedures, assisting with directional support, credential checks, and/or after-hours access protocols as required.
- Support daily operations at a commercial real estate location by observing building activity, communicating professionally with occupants and vendors, and reporting security-related issues, hazards, and/or policy concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience is required.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
