Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult medical-surgical patients in the Med Surg unit, including assessments and ongoing monitoring
• Administer medications and therapies per physician orders; review and verify prescriptions
• Document care and updates in Meditech EMR, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Monitor patient status, vital signs, and respond to changes with appropriate interventions
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support discharge planning and patient education
• Maintain patient safety and infection prevention standards; assist with mobility and activities of daily living
• Participate in unit coverage with staffing ratios (RN: approx. 1:7) and float to rehab unit as census dictates

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in good standing, eligible to practice in Oklahoma
• Med Surg nursing experience and ability to work in an inpatient Med Surg unit
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR
• Ability to work the listed shift (7a–7p) and to float to rehab unit based on census
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
• Willingness to travel for a 13-week assignment and comply with travel-specific requirements
