What You'll Do

As a Direct Support Professional, you'll provide hands-on support and encouragement to individuals while helping them live as independently as possible. Responsibilities include:

• Assist individuals with daily living activities and personal care as needed.
• Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with grocery shopping and meal planning.
• Encourage participation in recreational and community activities.
• Implement Individual Support Plans (ISP) and Behavior Support Plans.
• Monitor health, safety, and overall well-being of residents.
• Complete daily documentation and communicate important information with team members.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment.
• Support residents in developing life skills and achieving personal goals.
• Work collaboratively with coworkers, families, guardians, and healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

We're looking for individuals who are:

• At least 18 years old.
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
• Able to communicate effectively and work well as part of a team.
• Comfortable using basic computer programs for documentation.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical aspects of the job.
• Possess a valid Oregon driver's license and a good driving record.
• Able to pass a DHS fingerprint-based background check.
• CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain certification).

Schedule

Our homes operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Applicants should be willing to work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
