Cocktail ServerPrepares and serves all alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages for guests in a high-volume environment. Actively takes orders, conducts full and complete food/beverage service, and monitors guests' bar/dining experience in an expeditious and professional manner. Interacts with the bar guests, fellow team members, and supervisors in a polite, courteous, and hospitable manner to ensure an exemplary experience. Requests identification from guests when legal age is questioned and when processing credit card payment transactions. Works efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude and body language to deliver superior guest service at all times. Markets the venue and its events as well as other company venues and events as designated.Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:Portray a positive and professional attitudeAnticipate and accommodate all guest needsRequired to solicit any allergy or dietary restrictions from each guest during food service (where applicable)Possess in-depth knowledge of all food/beverage menus and general information about our venuesPossess in-depth knowledge of all retail merchandise (where applicable)Present menus, answer questions, and make suggestions for all beverage, and where applicable, food and amenity itemsEnsure proper delivery and presentation of all food, beverage, and amenity itemsComplies with Department of Health standardsComplies with all Tao Group Hospitality safety codes and standardsComplies with all company and departmental policies and proceduresComplies with departmental appearance standards and uniform guidelinesServes all alcoholic beverages in accordance with all state regulations and responsible service/alcohol awareness training standardsEnsures the maintenance, general cleanliness, and orderliness of the tables, and surrounding areasAccurately enter all orders into the POS system and follows proper cash/payment card proceduresAccurately completes all end-of-shift financial proceduresReports all breakage, and damage of equipment, the facility, or furniture immediately to managementInforms management of any irregularities, incidents, guest complaints or other disputesProperly set up floor and side stations, perform side-work and other opening/closing procedures as directed by management, including:Ensures all tables and chairs/banquettes are clean and free of debrisSets tables with proper settingsStocks side-stations with prescribed suppliesPerforms opening side-work as prescribedPerforms closing side-work as prescribedAttends and participates in daily pre-service meetings.Participates in any training sessions or departmental meetings.Participates in marketing the company's venues and events, including but not limited to social media posts and posing for venue and marketing photographers to appear in marketing, publicity, or media materialsLearn by listening, observing other team members, and sharing knowledge while leading by exampleDemonstrates knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality, its partners, and supporting hotel environmentsWorks as part of a team and provides help and support to all fellow team membersAssist and/or complete additional tasks as assignedTraining requirements:Tao Group Hospitality in-venue cocktail server trainingEducation/working knowledge:Previous hospitality experienceExperience in a high-volume restaurant/nightclub/dayclub/lounge21+ years of age (Nightlife/Daylife requirements)Skills / physical demands / work environment / schedule:The work environment characteristics and/or physical demands described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
