Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Observation
As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Observation in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused data center location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, maintain required entry records, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and notification procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior perimeter, parking areas, and access-controlled spaces to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications in accordance with site procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- A Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
