Supply Chain's vision is to enable customer and mission success through supply chain strategies and execution that deliver superior operational program performance and create competitive advantage through continuous improvement. It is our mission to deliver affordable supply chain solutions that meet all program requirements and manage supply chain risks to ensure positive supplier performance through all phases of the program life-cycle from capture to sustainment. On the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) Program, Supply Chain is a key driver in providing buy component responsible for approximately 50% of the program hardware development subcontracts totaling two billion dollars of supplier value. The subcontractors we manage are vital in supporting design, build and deployment of the next step forward in national security detecting, tracking and destroying incoming intercontinental ballistic missiles in space before they reach American soil. This Subcontract Program Management (SPM) Operations position on NGI is one of the more critical subcontract positions responsible for facilitating for the NGI Subcontracts leadership team all required customer, NGI program leadership and Global Supply Chain Organization submissions.
As part of the NGI Subcontract team this role will offer you the following daily key responsibilities:
- Primarily responsible for facilitating for the NGI Subcontracts leadership team all required customer, NGI program leadership and Global Supply Chain Organization status inputs as part of the program business rhythm
- Represent NGI Subcontracts leadership in program forums
- Lead the NGI Subcontracts team in completing special initiatives and collect data regarding subcontractor performance
- Assemble status presentations and perform data analysis
- As Subcontract Program Manager for one of our medium size suppliers, you will have complete responsibility for their cost, schedule and technical performance.
- Some (up to 20%) travel to the customer and subcontractor locations is required. This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near a Lockheed Martin Space facility in either:
- Denver, CO
- Rocket City USA: Huntsville/Courtland AL
- Sunnyvale, CA
To be effective, ideally, you should also have:
- Three years of current experience on large cost plus government programs
- Experience with all contract types: Cost Plus, Incentive Fee, Firm Fixed Price contract types.
- Ability to develop strong supplier relationships that positively impact supplier performance
- Strong Power Point and Excel skill, especially in support of building executive level presentations

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
