Adjunct Faculty History

Job Summary Mercy University Humanities Department is seeking part‑time adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate History courses. Responsibilities Teach up to three sections of any History course, with emphasis on American, European, Latin American, and Caribbean studies. Assist with program assessment and development. Attend selected programmatic meetings. Qualifications Master’s or Doctorate in History or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution. Demonstrated experience teaching History at the college level. Bachelor’s degree (required). Schedule & Location Day and evening teaching sessions; online instruction is not accepted. Courses may be offered at Dobbs Ferry, Manhattan, or Bronx campuses. Compensation & Benefits Compensation is based on semester and paid on a semi‑monthly cycle.
