Human Resources (HR) Specialist

We are looking for a Human Resources (HR) Specialist to support leave administration and day-to-day HR operations for a client in Virginia. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable coordinating schedules, records, and employee-related processes in a fast-paced IT consulting environment. The right candidate will bring strong administrative judgment, strong communication skills, and a service-oriented approach to handling sensitive HR matters.Responsibilities:• Manage leave-related activities by tracking requests, maintaining documentation, and helping ensure timely follow-up on employee cases.• Provide administrative support for core HR functions, including preparing records, organizing files, and assisting with routine departmental tasks.• Coordinate meetings, calendars, and appointment scheduling for HR-related activities while keeping stakeholders informed of updates.• Serve as a key point of contact for employees and internal partners by responding to inquiries with discretion and courtesy.• Maintain accurate department records and verify that HR information is current, complete, and properly organized.• Assist with communication and coordination across teams to support smooth execution of leave and HR processes.• Prepare materials, confirmations, and follow-up correspondence connected to appointments, meetings, and employee support activities.
