Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D) – Travel Assignment in Templeton, CA. Start date: 10/05/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,323–$2,442 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour nights (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct professional nursing care to obstetric patients across labor, delivery, and postpartum, coordinating and delegating as appropriate.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans; monitor maternal status and fetal heart rate; respond to clinical changes.
- Administer medications, assist with labor management, delivery, cesarean procedures as needed, and support pain relief strategies within scope.
- Document accurately in the electronic health record; communicate changes to the care team; educate patients and families about care plans and postnatal needs.
- Collaborate with physicians, ancillary staff, and case management to ensure safe transitions and timely discharge planning.
- Maintain adherence to standards of nursing practice, regulatory requirements, and hospital policies; uphold infection control and patient safety practices.
- Participate in unit leadership activities and maintain current licensure and certifications.

Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice
- Graduate of an approved nursing program
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (ACLS and NRP required within 6 months of hire; NRP within 6 months; BLS prior to or on hire)
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring course required on hire and every two years; for nurses new to L&D, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring course within first 6–8 months of orientation
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience; L&D/OB experience preferred; no-call requirement
- EPIC experience
- LDRP model experience preferred
