Overview
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery in Templeton, California. Start date 10/05/2026 for 18 weeks. 36 guaranteed hours per week. Shift: 3x12 nights (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). Weekly pay range $2,689–$2,812. Travel assignment in a 122-bed short-term acute care hospital setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients, with ongoing fetal and maternal assessment.
- Monitor labor progression, administer and manage analgesia, and support alternative pain control strategies as appropriate.
- Act as circulating nurse for C-sections and respond to obstetric emergencies (e.g., precipitous delivery, shoulder dystocia) within a multidisciplinary team.
- Educate patients and families across all stages of perinatal care, discharge planning, and postpartum recovery; document care clearly and promptly in the electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and ancillary staff to implement and adjust an individualized care plan for each patient.
- Maintain clinical accuracy and safety in all perinatal care, including monitoring amniotic fluid status and recognizing deviations in fetal or maternal well-being.

Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice (California) required.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Experience: Minimum two years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring required.
- Additional: EPIC electronic health record experience; LDRP model experience desirable; ability to work night shifts in a 36-hour weekly schedule; current California license and the ability to practice in a hospital setting.
