Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) travel assignment in Templeton, California. Start date 10/05/2026 for a 13-week engagement in a short-term acute care hospital. Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to obstetric patients, including assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating care.
- Coordinate and manage patient care, delegating tasks as appropriate and collaborating with the health care team to ensure safety and quality outcomes.
- Monitor labor progress and fetal status, assist with deliveries, and participate in neonatal resuscitation efforts per policy and standards.
- Maintain documentation in the electronic medical record (EPIC) and ensure compliance with regulatory and facility standards.
- Support LDRP (labor-delivery-recovery-postpartum) workflow, including patient education and family-centered care, with no on-call requirement.
- Demonstrate adherence to AWHONN fetal monitoring guidelines and maintain required certifications and ongoing professional development.

Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Licenses/Certifications: Current RN license in the state of practice; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or ARC-ALS; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire or transfer
- Maternal-fetal certifications: AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring required on hire and every two years; for novice L&D RNs, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring within first 6–8 months of orientation, then Advanced Fetal Monitoring every two years
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience; EPIC experience required
- Additional requirements: Current certification and ability to work in a Labor & Delivery/LDRP model; NRP and fetal monitoring credentials updated as specified
