You will receive 18 remote workdays per quarter to use at your discretion, subject to manager approval. For example, you may choose to work in the office 4 days per week and take one remote day weekly (typically 13 weeks per quarter), leaving 5 additional remote days to be used as needed.About the RoleHarbourVest is seeking a Director of Treasury to help scale our global treasury capabilities. This role combines leadership, operational execution, and strategic transformation across banking infrastructure, treasury systems, and fund-level cash management. This role is designed for a highly capable individual who can architect, scale, and modernize Treasury capabilities across systems, banking connectivity, and process automation.As a key member of the Treasury Infrastructure team, the Director implements a forward-looking operating model. This model incorporates automation, sophisticated analytics, and modern technology platforms. This role will operate at the intersection of Treasury, technology, and data partnering closely with IT, internal business teams, and external providers to deliver a scalable, resilient, and efficient Treasury ecosystem. The Director will lead functional areas focused on standard settlement instruction and bank account management and will be responsible for the liquidity of various HarbourVest funds.This is an opportunity to directly influence and shape the transformation of a best-in-class Treasury function that is both operationally excellent and strategically differentiated.The ideal candidate is someone who is:Brings a thoughtful and practical approach to complex challengesCommunicates clearly and collaborates optimally across teams and collaboratorsBalances strategic priorities with hands-on problem solving to assist the team with both routine and complex tasks as neededBrings strong technical proficiency throughout Treasury platforms, data tools, and banking connectivity modelsHas knowledge of private equity industry and related best-in-class technologyShows sound judgment and accountability in a fast-paced environmentWhat you will do:Own and improve treasury systems, including FIS Integrity, eBAM, Kyriba, and SWIFT integration, ensuring data accuracy, governance, and scalabilityLead team responsible for administration of banking connectivity (SWIFT, SFTP, APIs, and portals) to support global payments, reporting, and reconciliation processes and periodic access reviews and control processesInnovate with new technology and software including Power Automate, Alteryx, and AI-enabled solutions to eliminate manual processes and improve control environmentsLead resolution of issues across Treasury systems and banking platforms, partnering with IT and external vendors to ensure continuity of operationsLead Infrastructure staff in testing, validation, and rollout of system enhancements, upgrades, and new functionality across Treasury platformsAssist with handling fund-level cash activity including capital calls, distributions, FX and debt transactions, and liquidity-sensitive fund management ensuring accuracy and timeliness for designated fundsManage Treasury Infrastructure team facilitating bank account requests and workflows (e.g., new accounts, fraud mitigation technology, connectivity requests), ensuring clear ownership and timely issue resolution and successful account onboarding.Oversee scalable onboarding models to support new legal entities, funds, and global expansion initiatives.Maintain high engagement and develop team skills, including goal setting, performance reviews and periodic meetings with team members and peers.Develop and implement operational improvements, benchmarks, and reporting frameworks to improve operational efficiency and transparencyAnd other responsibilities as requiredWhat you bring:Proven expertise in Treasury, cash management systems, and global banking connectivity within an investment management or complex financial services environmentExperience with Treasury Workstations (FIS Integrity, Kyriba strongly preferred) and SWIFT connectivity modelsStrong understanding of global banking structures, account management, and connectivity frameworksAbility to operate optimally on a distributed team, influencing collaborators across multiple functions and geographiesExceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with a focus on building scalable and sustainable solutionsStrong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomesDemonstrated experience automating processes using tools such as Power Automate, Alteryx, and/or AI enabled solutionsEducation PreferredBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience requiredAdvanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferredCertified Treasury Professional (CTP) or similar certification preferredExperience10+ years of progressive work in Treasury, Finance, or related fieldsSignificant experience in Treasury systems, infrastructure, or transformation rolesExperience operating in a global, multi-entity organization or private markets firm required#LI-HybridBase Salary Range$170,000.00 - $180,000.00This USD base salary range represents only one component of total compensation for this role and is provided in accordance with local requirements. This role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, which is determined based on individual and overall firm performance. In addition to salary and bonus, total compensation may include eligibility for long-term reward programs and a comprehensive total rewards package that may include retirement, health, insurance, paid time off, and wellness programs. Our total rewards offerings are influenced by several business factors, and eligibility for certain components will vary by position and geography.
