Human Resources Generalist

We are partnering with a well-established manufacturing company in the Minneapolis area to identify an HR Generalist to join their team. This is a hands‑on role supporting a union manufacturing workforce while partnering closely with operations and leadership to foster a positive employee experience. This position is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys building relationships, working directly with employees on the production floor, and contributing to all aspects of Human Resources. Key Responsibilities Recruit, interview, and onboard hourly production employees. Coordinate new hire orientation and ensure all onboarding documentation is completed accurately. Serve as a primary HR resource for employees by answering questions related to company policies, benefits, attendance, and the union contract. Track employee attendance, review timecards for accuracy, and assist with attendance documentation. Partner with supervisors on performance reviews, employee development, coaching, and performance improvement plans. Assist with employee training programs and maintain training records. Support Workers' Compensation administration and safety‑related HR activities. Participate in employee investigations, disciplinary meetings, and employee relations matters. Maintain employee personnel files and HRIS records. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment and labor laws. Provide day‑to‑day administrative HR support to operations and leadership. Qualifications Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred. 1–3 years of Human Resources experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree. Experience with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, attendance management, and HR administration. Strong computer skills and experience using HRIS systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Preferred Qualifications Manufacturing experience. Union experience. SHRM certification. Experience with HRIS platforms such as Paylocity, ADP, UKG, or similar systems. #J-18808-Ljbffr
