About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Managing Counsel/Vice President for Regulated Cross-Border Money Transmission. The successful candidate will be a trusted legal advisor, providing proactive and globally-coordinated legal guidance to support product development, manage risk, and deliver practical solutions for the Cross-Border Solutions business team. This role involves serving as a leader in global product legal for cross-border services, structuring and negotiating high-value commercial and technology agreements, and monitoring global regulatory developments impacting payments. The ideal candidate will have significant legal experience in payments and product development, with a focus on money transmission and emerging technologies, and must be comfortable advising on areas such as blockchain-based solutions. Applicants for this role at the company should have a JD (or equivalent) and active bar membership, with expertise in multi-jurisdictional transactions, regulatory frameworks, and risk management. The role requires the ability to lead global teams, influence senior stakeholders, and collaborate with specialists in various legal areas. The candidate should be adept at simplifying complexity, driving practical outcomes, and have strong negotiation and advisory skills. Responsibilities also include developing and maintaining legal playbooks, providing legal frameworks for emerging capabilities, and leading a team of product counsels.
