Lab Assistant

Labcorp seeks a Lab Assistant for its Burlington, North Carolina facility to receive, sort, and prepare clinical specimens for testing. The role involves specimen handling, data entry, equipment maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety standards in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and prepare clinical specimens for testing and analysis
• Perform data entry and scanning of specimen and patient information
• Maintain laboratory equipment functionality and perform minor maintenance
• Troubleshoot specimen-related issues and replenish test bench supplies
• Maintain clean and safe work environment while completing administrative records

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Comfort handling biological specimens and accurate specimen identification
• Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and communication skills
• Physical capability to meet job demands and work in production environment
