Medical Assistant

MA Xray TechnicianWe are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Assistant to join our Urgent Care Facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for checking patients in and out, taking vitals, logging information into the EMR/EHR system (NexGen), verifying insurance, and covering the front desk during lunch breaks.ResponsibilitiesCheck patients in and out efficiently.Take and record patient vitals.Log patient information into the EMR/EHR system (NexGen).Verify patient insurance.Cover the front desk when the receptionist is on lunch break.Perform Medical Assistant duties including both back office and some front office tasks.Essential SkillsAppointment schedulingElectronic health record managementPatient careBack office skillsExperience with NexGen EMR systemMedical Assistant certificationBLS Certified (AHA)1-2 years of Medical Assistant experienceAdditional Skills & QualificationsBilingual proficiencyExperience with imaging and radiologyAbility to pass an integrity testWillingness to work weekends and holidaysWork EnvironmentThe urgent care facility operates 7 days a week and sees 40-45 patients per day. The work schedule consists of 3x12 hour shifts per week from 10 AM to 10:30 PM, Sunday through Saturday. This is a fast-paced environment.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
