Martens Portable Buildings is seeking an experienced, customer-focused Shed Salesperson to join our team.

We are looking for a proven sales professional who knows how to build trust, ask thoughtful questions, identify customer needs, build value, and confidently guide buyers toward the right solution. The ideal candidate will be comfortable discussing building options, features, pricing, and financing while managing the sales process from the initial conversation through the completed purchase.

In this role, you will assist customers who are shopping for storage sheds, garages, and other portable building solutions. You will help customers compare their options, select the building that best fits their needs and budget, and provide a smooth, professional buying experience from start to finish.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, communicates clearly, follows up consistently, and knows how to close sales with professionalism and integrity.

Compensation:

$60,000 - $80,000

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in person, by phone, and through online inquiries

• Ask thoughtful questions to understand each customer’s needs, intended use, budget, and purchasing timeline

• Explain building styles, features, upgrades, pricing, financing, and purchasing options clearly and accurately

• Recommend solutions that best fit each customer’s needs and budget

• Prepare accurate quotes and guide customers confidently through the entire purchasing process

• Follow up promptly and consistently with new leads, prospective buyers, and unsold customers

• Build lasting customer relationships through honest, knowledgeable, and helpful service

• Maintain a thorough understanding of products, pricing, available options, promotions, and company sales processes

• Keep customer information, quotes, and follow-up activity organized and up to date

• Represent Martens Portable Buildings with professionalism, integrity, and a customer-first attitude

Qualifications:

• Previous sales experience is required

• Experience in sheds, portable buildings, construction, home improvement, automotive, RV, furniture, or another big-ticket sales environment is preferred

• Strong communication, listening, and relationship-building skills

• Ability to ask effective questions, identify customer needs, and guide customers toward the right purchasing decision

• Comfortable discussing pricing, value, financing options, and customer concerns or objections

• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and committed to consistent follow-up

• Organized, dependable, professional, and attentive to detail

• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn quoting, customer-management, and sales software

• Ability to manage multiple customers, leads, and quotes throughout the sales process

• A strong commitment to customer satisfaction, honesty, and professional service
