Company Description ADL Assisted LIVING is an assisted living type B community with 2 residential homes in Baytown and a facility in Highlands. We are dedicated to supporting adults who need help with daily activities while promoting safety, dignity, and as much independence as possible. Team members work closely with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to provide consistent, compassionate care. ADL Assisted LIVING offers a stable, on-site work environment where caregivers can build long-term relationships with residents and grow their skills in direct care. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Caregiver and Med-Aide role based in Highlands, TX or Baytown, TX. The Caregiver is responsible for supporting residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility assistance, and light housekeeping. Daily tasks include assisting with meals, monitoring residents’ well-being, documenting observations, and promptly reporting changes in condition to the appropriate team members. Med-aide responsibilities include safely administering medications as ordered, maintaining accurate medication records, and following all medication management protocols. The role also involves all of the caregiver responsibilities. Qualifications Experience or training in personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and safe resident transfers. Knowledge of medication administration procedures, including following physician orders, documenting doses, and adhering to facility policies and state regulations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members in a compassionate, professional manner. Ability to recognize and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition, and to follow care plans and safety guidelines. High level of reliability, attention to detail, and respect for confidentiality and resident rights. Previous experience in assisted living, long-term care, or a similar setting is preferred. Relevant certification (such as Certified Nursing Assistant or Medication Aide, as required by state regulations) is preferred but not required. Shifts: Highlands: caregiver shift: 6a-2p, 2p-10p.
