QA Inspector B- Night Shift

Job SummaryThe QA Inspector Level II audits processes to ensure all systems and procedures are being followed; inspects products to ensure requirements are being met and parts meet specifications.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential functions/duty satisfactorily. Other duties/functions may be added or assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesN/AOperationsInspects finished or in-process products against standards using simple measuring tools and equipment for acceptance or rejection.Assures compliance with regards to line clearance, raw materials, in-process inspection, manufacturing, and housekeeping.Assists in the training and guidance of less experienced inspectors and production personnel with respect to QC methods and procedures.Uses basic math skills, including decimals and fractions; simple use of formulas, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules and computer input devices (scales, micrometers, calipers, gradient cylinder, force gauges, mag mic).Audits reports, forms, records and comparable data to ensure compliance to procedures and requirements.Use of some judgment to comply with instructions, prescribed routines, methods and/or practices or to respond to preset computer menu choices or preprogrammed computer commands involving making minor decisions.Must maintain regular and consistent attendance.Additional duties as assigned.SafetyComply with the EHS Policy and applicable regulatory and company EHS rules and requirements.Prompt reporting of any unsafe conditions, practices, or environmental concerns to supervision. Resolving potential hazards swiftly, thereby ensuring a safe work environment for all employees.Attend scheduled EHS trainings.Actively assist the organization in achieving or surpassing EHS goals. Identify areas for improvement in EHS practices and recommend enhancements to contribute to our commitment to a safe work environment.Demonstrates safe work habits by adhering to general safety procedures, including correct techniques for lifting and bending, maintaining proper ergonomics, using equipment correctly, and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.Ensures strict adherence to all safety procedures, including the enforcement and discipline related to Lockout/Tagout (LO/TO) procedures.Product Safety and QualityFollows and ensures adherence to Product Safety and Quality standards.Follows GMP’s regarding food contact packaging as it pertains to the employee.Follows and ensures adherence to IPC product defense standards and complies with all SQF requirements.Minimum Requirements (include education, experience, special skills, licenses and/or certifications required.)The list below represents the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with minimum 1 year of experience in quality inspection or 1 year of experience in the manufacturing environment at Inline Plastics.Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate one-on-one and in groups.Ability to interact with various groups of people.Ability to understand detailed written and oral instructions.Ability to investigate and troubleshoot problems. Ability to understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).In work related situations must be able to take direction and communicate in English on a one-on-one basis or in group situations as well as read and understand written documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Bilingual skills are a plus.Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; simple use of formulas, charts, drawings, specifications, etc.Proficient in MS Suite (Word, Excel, Access).Experience in data acquisition is a plus.Must be able to read micrometers and calipers, digital force gauge.Essential Physical Demands and FrequencyThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
