Maintenance Technician, Up to $37/hr. - Detroit, MI

We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team! You will maintain industrial production and processing machinery.

Job duties

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on instrument controls, measuring temperatures, flows, pressures, levels, and other operating variables.
• Fabricate and build structural devices
• Repair, install and adjust industrial machinery (extruders, reactors, pelletizers, camsizers, airvey system, etc.)
• Troubleshoot and diagnose minor electrical problems such as fuses, heaters, motors, and relays.
• Assist and provide support to operators in performing daily tasks including but not limited to tool changes;
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience with troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical type equipment.
• 2+ years experience with welding, pipe fitting and instrumentation.
• 1+ years experience with electrical and plumbing.
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Computer skills
• Plastics experience highly desired.
