Quality Control Specialist IPharr - 2nd Floor - Pharr, TX 78577Job DescriptionThe Quality Control Specialist I is an enthusiastic, highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic who performs new account documentation reviews to make sure the account styling and account documentation are in compliance with federal laws and regulations and state laws.Essential duties include:Providing support and guidance to the banking center staff at all levels regarding routine and complex new accounts questions and business account documentation requirementsPerforming new and revised account documentation reviews to make sure the account styling and account documentation are in compliance with documentation requirementsPerforming corrections and updates at the account and CIF levelRecording QCD CIF/Account Incidents in 360ViewReviewing Debit Cards orders and assisting with debit card tracking and deliveryVerifying CD interest checks are issued and uploaded correctly into the Bank's core SilverLake processing systemVerifying Debit Card ApplicationsReviewing Opening Act (online) accounts and contacting customers as necessaryParticipating in job specific training and other various Bank training programs, as necessaryMaintaining current knowledge of internal risk controls and loss prevention, including reporting of suspicious or unusual customer activity per Bank policyMaintaining current knowledge and complying with all federal and state laws and regulations and all established Bank policies and procedures, including internal audit controls related to department operationsMaintaining current knowledge of all rules, regulations, and laws as they apply to BSA/OFAC/USA Patriot Act/CIP/AMLPerforming other related duties as assignedQualificationsThese specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines.High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor's degree is preferred)One year of prior banking experience with New Accounts (two years is preferred)Knowledge of JHA SilverLake is preferredGood verbal and written communication, organizational and customer relations skillsAttention to detail and mental concentration for accurately performing tasks and handling frequent interruptionsAbility to maintain confidentiality of customer information and compliance with privacy lawsStrong computer skills, including spreadsheet and word processing softwareAbility to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and occasional SaturdaysBilingual in English and Spanish is desiredThis position reports to the Quality Control Supervisor and does not oversee other positions.All employees are required to attend scheduled mandatory trainings and complete online regulatory compliance training courses applicable to their specific job function. In all situations, employees must ensure that their actions fully comply with all federal banking laws and regulations, including internal bank policies and procedures.
