The Advanced Cardiac Sonographer proficiently performs a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures assisting in diagnosing and monitoring a wide range of medical conditions. The role requires technical expertise in operating ultrasound equipment, patient care skills, and the ability to provide accurate and high-quality diagnostic images. This role also requires a strong commitment to patient care and collaborative communication with patients and healthcare professionals to provide optimal care. Experience: no experience required. Certification: ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI(RCS) or registry eligible (must obtain registry within 6 months of eligibility); Basic Life Support (BLS); Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice. Advanced Cardiac Sonographer Education: Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours OR received on the job training by a Preceptor who is registered in Cardiac ultrasound. Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience. Certification: ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI(RCS); Basic Life Support (BLS). Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice. Senior Cardiac Sonographer Education: Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours OR received on the job training by a Preceptor who is registered in Cardiac ultrasound. Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience. Certification: ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI(RCS); Basic Life Support (BLS). Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice. But our heritage goes back more than 195 years. It began with an Irish woman named Catherine McAuley, who was determined to help women and children in Dublin experiencing poverty. Though Catherine had a modest upbringing, she received an unexpected inheritance that allowed her to fulfill that dream. In 1827, she opened the first House of Mercy in Dublin, intending to teach skills to women and educate children. Many volunteers came to help. A few years later, Catherine founded the Sisters of Mercy, one of the first religious orders whose Sisters were free to walk among the poor and visit them in their homes.
