Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Description: RN ICU Needed - Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIH. RN License. Weekend Requirements: EOW and whenever the need of unit is. On Call: As needed. Experience: 3+ years of RN ICU experience, 6 mo travel experience. Floating: May float to other units within scope of practice. Depending on need/census, may float to Ashby or Herrick Campus. The expectation is for all travel nurses to be flexible with floating to different campuses or within the hospital. Travelers can anticipate a notice of 1.5 hrs prior to shift start time in most cases. There is a shuttle provided if floating is requested.

Patient Diagnoses: Sepsis, AKI, Respiratory failure, STEMI, Heart failure, stroke, surgical, kidney failure, Cardiogenic shock, etoh, polysubstance abuse, DKA, Surgical (carotid, vascular, ortho (rare) diep flaps). Special Procedures/Unit Details: OPEN HEART, VAT, THORACOTOMY TAVR, ECMO. Special Equipment: NXT STAGE CRRT, EKOS, VENT, IABP.IMPELLA.

Sutter Submission Rules: Local candidates: Locals accepted at local rate; 50-mile radius rule. RN Licensure: Uploaded Nursys within the last 2 weeks with Valid CA State License. Certifications: Uploaded any applicable certifications with valid expiration dates. Certifications must be AHA or ARC. References: 2 references obtained within the last year. Return Staff/Travelers: No separation time required. Former manager(s) name needed on application. Experience: Unless otherwise stated, at least 2 years of experience required. BG/Licensure Hits: Any hits with supporting documentation will need to be disclosed to seek approval from facility HR to proceed with application. RTO Policy: Max RTO: 7 days per contract. Holiday RTO: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Holidays begin at 7:00 PM the night before the holiday, and end at 7:00 AM the day after the holiday. Only 1 holiday per contract can be requested. Compliance: Onboarding: Must complete labs within 3-5 days of contract signing. Work History Verification: 7-Year Work History Verification Required for all candidates. Candidates must provide accurate work history information going back 7 years from their start date and may also be required to provide documentation or contacts for the verifications if we are unable to verify any positions. Deadline: All compliance documents due 10 days prior to start. Re-Orientation: re-orientation only required if travelers have been separated for 6+ months since last shift and IF orientation was completed at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center. Modules: Modules are non-billable. An average of 1-5 hours spent on modules and are factored into NBO. Any time spent on modules exceeding the 16 NBO hours are billable. Modules are completed during orientation, and module hours vary by specialty. Modules are recorded through e-learning.
