Pastry Prep Cook

Folk is looking to add a baking and pastry production person to work as part of the A.M. kitchen team, producing artisan pastries and breads under the immediate direction of the pastry chef and baker. We are looking for a dependable, organized individual who thrives on structure and consistency in a fast-paced yet supportive environment.

• Prep, bake, and season all items according to recipe and production specs
• Control production quantities and maintain consistency batch to batch
• Assist with bread and pizza dough program
• Maintain an organized, clean station and adhere to all kitchen maintenance and sanitation standards
• Keep up-to-date knowledge of the menu
• Follow proper methods for preparing and baking product
• Collaborate with the baker and chef to ensure quality standards are being met
• Help receive and put away deliveries
• Follow prep lists and production schedules accurately and consistently

Qualifications

• Must be familiar with all phases of food preparation and related techniques, preferably in baking/pastry
• Must be organized, structured, and dependable — reliable attendance and punctuality are essential
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position
• Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team
• Must be able to uphold company standards related to appearance and dress
• Must have one year of prior kitchen experience, preferably in pastry or baking
