Job Title: Certified Lifeguard Location: Kirtland Air Force Base, Albuquerque, NM
Schedule: Monday-Friday, during the following operating sessions:
Primary Responsibilities:
Candidates must be reliable, attentive, professional, and capable of responding immediately to aquatic emergencies.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, during the following operating sessions:
- 5:30 a.m.-8:30 a.m.
- 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
- 3:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain continuous surveillance of swimmers.
- Perform water rescues and provide first aid, CPR, and AED response when necessary.
- Enforce pool safety rules and manage patron sign-in.
- Conduct and document safety-equipment and water-quality checks.
- Assist with pool vacuuming and keeping pool decks, swimming areas, and locker rooms clean and orderly.
- Participate in required training and emergency-response drills.
- Current nationally recognized Lifeguard/Water Rescue certification.
- Current CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification.
- Current AED and Standard First Aid certifications.
- Ability to swim 300 yards continuously.
- Ability to tread water for two minutes.
- Ability to retrieve a 10-pound brick from at least seven feet of water and exit the pool within 1 minute and 40 seconds.
- Ability to obtain and maintain access to Kirtland Air Force Base.
Candidates must be reliable, attentive, professional, and capable of responding immediately to aquatic emergencies.
