Registered Nurse Surgical Day Care

Schedule: 24-Hours, Day/Evening, (3) 8 hour shifts, On call per rotation on weeknights/weekends and holidays

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: Normal

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Minimum one year acute care nursing experience required
• Current Registered Nurse license in state
• Current ACLS, PALS required
• IV certifications preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions and patient care plans.
• Provide patient care in accordance with standards, protocols, and policies.
• Respect each patient's dignity and provide emotional support.
• Teach patients and families based on identified needs and learning readiness.
• Manage medication administration and perform assessments to monitor pain levels.
• Coordinate pre-admission and post-operative care for Surgical Day Care patients.
