Sr. Special Procedures Technologist

Job Description

The Sr. Special Procedures Technologist is responsible for performing specialized radiologic procedures in a healthcare setting. This role requires advanced technical skills and the ability to operate various imaging equipment to assist in diagnosing and treating patients.

Schedule

This position requires variable shifts including:

• 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM
• 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Additionally, call coverage is required after hours, including every other weekend and two weeknights per week. Specific details will be discussed during the interview process.

Education and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

• An Associate's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and related experience (Preferred).
• A Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent (Preferred).
• At least three years of technical experience (Preferred).
• Prior experience as a Special Procedures Technologist (Preferred).

Licenses and Certifications

Candidates must possess the following:

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification (Preferred).
• Radiologic Technologist (RT) certification in the state of practice (Required).
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor (Required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per organizational policy (Required).
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification (Required).
• Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) certification (Required).
• Prevention and Management of Violent Behavior (PVMB) or Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or TEAM-A or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification (Required).

Key Responsibilities

The Sr. Special Procedures Technologist will:

• Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures using specialized imaging equipment.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during procedures.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards and protocols.
• Provide guidance and training to junior staff members as necessary.
