Chief Development Officer

In partnership with Lindauer, Boston Baroque seeks a strategic and relationship-driven Chief Development Officer to lead fundraising during a transformative period in the organization's history. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Chief Development Officer will oversee all aspects of philanthropy, including annual giving, major gifts, institutional support, and donor engagement, while partnering closely with the Board of Directors and artistic leadership. This is an opportunity to help shape the future of one of the world's premier period-instrument orchestras as it enters a new era under internationally acclaimed Music Director Marc Minkowski. Key Responsibilities Lead and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy encompassing annual, major, institutional, corporate, and event-based giving. Cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of major donors and prospects while expanding Boston Baroque's philanthropic community. Partner with the Executive Director, Music Director, Board of Directors, and volunteer leaders to advance fundraising priorities and deepen donor engagement. Strengthen development operations, systems, and infrastructure to support long-term growth and data-informed decision-making. Lead and mentor the development team while fostering a collaborative culture of philanthropy across the organization. Qualifications Seven or more years of progressive fundraising leadership experience, preferably within arts and cultural organizations. Demonstrated success securing major gifts and achieving ambitious fundraising goals. Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and donor stewardship skills. Experience developing fundraising strategy, managing development operations, and utilizing donor database systems and reporting tools. Passion for Boston Baroque's mission and the ability to inspire donors, Board members, and community partners to invest in its future. Compensation The salary range for this role is $125,000-$150,000.
