Responsibilities

• Draw quality blood samples from patients across all age groups, including pediatric and geriatric populations
• Prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures
• Create a trusting environment for patients by explaining procedures clearly and professionally
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation and records of specimen collection and processing
• Ensure a safe, professional, and organized environment throughout the collection process
• Perform specimen processing duties with confidence, adhering to both forensic and clinical protocols
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals and quality standards

Required Skills

• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail to ensure error-free work
• Proficiency in keyboard and data entry tasks

Additional Skills & Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience; 1+ years preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington)
• Medical assistant or paramedic training is a plus
• Must be flexible and available for scheduling needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime
• Reliable transportation to and from the worksite with a commute within 20-25 minutes
• Must be punctual and committed to scheduled shifts, with no excessive absenteeism
