Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
ProCare Therapy is seeking flexible and compassionate Substitute Personal Care Aides (PCAs) to support a school district in Downingtown, PA . This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to make an impact while maintaining a flexible schedule in a school-based setting.
Position Details:
- Location: Downingtown, PA
- Student Population: K–12
- Schedule: As-needed / flexible scheduling
- Hours: Opportunity for full-day or partial-day assignments based on district needs
- Compensation: $23/hr
- Contract:
- Current school year coverage
- Potential for ongoing or long-term opportunities
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students in the absence of regularly assigned staff
- Assist with daily living activities, mobility, and classroom participation
- Support behavioral and instructional goals under the direction of school staff
- Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Adapt quickly to different classrooms and student needs
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with special needs preferred
- Ability to be flexible and responsive to varying assignments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, patient, and adaptable
