DevOps Engineer - CI/CD Automation

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, plus 5+ years of applied experience
• Hands-on experience with enterprise-approved AI-assisted development tools in the workplace, with the ability to assess, validate, and refine AI-generated output for correctness, performance, and security
• Understanding of responsible AI usage in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, and resiliency and security expectations
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, with strong practical experience in Groovy and Bash for automation
• Strong background in building and supporting Jenkins CI solutions, including Jenkinsfiles, shared libraries, credentials management, and agent execution patterns
• Experience with continuous delivery tooling such as Spinnaker, including pipeline setup, deployments, environment promotion, and rollback approaches
• Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud security fundamentals, including IAM, networking, monitoring/logging, and encryption/secrets practices
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database query languages
• Broad understanding of the software development lifecycle
• Solid grasp of agile practices, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
• Practical knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline such as cloud
• Exposure to cloud technologies, with deeper AWS experience in multi-account and/or regulated environments considered an advantage
• Experience with infrastructure as code and configuration automation, such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
• Experience with containers, orchestration, and progressive delivery practices, such as Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, blue/green, and canary
• Experience integrating security and quality controls into CI/CD, such as SAST, SCA, artifact signing, SBOM, and policy checks

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions with a focus on CI/CD and release automation for Payments platforms
• Write secure, high-quality production code and maintain automation logic for build, test, and deployment workflows, including Jenkins pipelines and shell scripting
• Produce architecture and design documentation for complex applications and ensure code implementation aligns with design constraints
• Analyze large and varied data sets and create visual reporting to support continuous improvement of software applications and systems, including CI/CD telemetry
• Identify hidden issues and recurring patterns in data to improve coding standards, reliability, pipeline stability, and reusable automation
• Contribute to engineering communities of practice and events focused on emerging technologies, modern DevOps, cloud-native delivery, and secure SDLC practices
• Use enterprise-approved AI coding tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity, while validating results through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards
• Apply software development lifecycle tooling knowledge, including authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase automation value
• Support end-to-end operational stability for delivery tooling, including Jenkins and Spinnaker administration, incident triage, root-cause analysis, and ongoing improvements
• Partner with cybersecurity and engineering teams to build controls into pipelines for regulated Payments workloads
