Title: Laboratory Technician

Description:

• Seeking a research contractor to join the Johnston Sampling team.
• Sampling team leads the upfront sample submission and processing for all projects going through genotyping.
• This involves collaboration with internal and external partners with an owner's mindset.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensure that all material necessary for sampling is prepared properly, on time, and in a safe manner.
• Assist with miscellaneous tasks such as cleaning, handling, packaging, and storing seed or samples.
• Remain compliant with regulatory as well as company requirements.
• Operate proprietary equipment.
• Continually look for process improvement opportunities and help implement solutions.
• Take actions to ensure good laboratory practices are followed.
• Prioritize workload requirements and exercise good time management to ensure all work is completed on time.
• Perform physical, repetitive tasks of the job.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual [salary/hourly rate] for this position is between $21.00 - 22.00 per hour . Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
