Medical Assistant (CCMA) - Knoxville, TN

We are seeking a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) with at least 1 year of experience to join our fast-paced medical practice. This role offers a mix of clinical and administrative responsibilities, providing an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who is passionate about patient care.
Position Overview

As a Medical Assistant, you will work closely with physicians and staff to support patient care, coordinate testing and procedures, and ensure smooth daily operations in both the front and back office.
Primary Location: Knoxville, TN
Travel Requirement: After training, candidates will float to satellite locations as needed. Mileage reimbursement is provided at $0.725 per mile , and schedule accommodations will be made when applicable.
Pay Rate: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Experience Level

Entry Level (with at least 1 year of relevant Medical Assistant experience)
Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with daily clinical and administrative tasks
• Schedule appointments, procedures, and follow-up visits
• Obtain prior authorizations and pre-certifications for MRIs, CT scans, and other services
• Communicate test results to patients
• Perform phlebotomy and other clinical duties
• Take and record manual blood pressure readings
• Enter and maintain accurate patient information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
• Support both front desk and back-office operations
• Provide exceptional customer service and patient care
• Follow established office procedures while maintaining accuracy and efficiency

Qualifications

• CCMA Certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience
• Previous clinical medical office experience required
• Ability to perform both front-office and back-office duties
• Proficient with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• Strong customer service and patient communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management
• Commitment to delivering outstanding patient care

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
