Description

American Traveler is hiring a Clinical Research Nurse (CRN) for a Rheumatology-focused clinical trials role requiring CA RN licensure and prior clinical research experience.

Details

Clinical Research Nurse role within a large West Coast health system

Focus on clinical trials centered around Rheumatology, with Oncology, Inpatient Studies, and CAR-T experience highly preferred

Role is both patient-facing and administratively-based

Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

Requires use of an EMR system (Epic required)

Bilingual English/Spanish skills a plus

Experience with IDX, Meditech, NextGen, or PACS a plus

Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities

Requirements

Active CA RN license required

BLS certification required

CRCC certification preferred

At least 2 years of clinical research experience required

3+ years of sub-specialty nursing experience in an acute care/ambulatory setting preferred

Knowledge of GCP, IRB guidelines, and federal research regulations required

Skills in informed consent facilitation, adverse event reporting, and regulatory recordkeeping preferred

Experience with patient enrollment and telephone triage preferred

Knowledge of ICH guidelines and infection control/universal precautions preferred

Experience with Phase I, II, and III clinical trials preferred

Must reside within 50 miles of the facility

Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

Coordinate clinical research protocols in consultation with Investigators, Research Program Managers, and sponsors

Provide patient and family education on study requirements, risks, benefits, and informed consent

Maintain accurate and complete study binders, regulatory documents, and source documentation

Recruit and enroll patients into studies, collaborating with physicians and allied health professionals

Manage monitor visits, audits, and investigational drug inventory and temperature logs

Train and support Clinical Research Coordinators as needed

Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront prior to offer

Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
