Opportunity:


RN - MedSurg


Job Details:


• 13-week contract starting 8/10
• Variable day/night shifts with start and end times of 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed 72 hours biweekly with overtime after 80 hours worked in the second week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float to Emergency Department within competency required
• May be placed on low census call; call back minimum is 2 hours
• Patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 during days and 1:6 during nights on a 25-bed Med/Surg unit
• Provide general nursing care for primarily geriatric patients with conditions such as CHF, COPD, and diabetes
• Strong charting experience required with Epic EMR, CareScape patient monitors, and Pyxis
• Minimum 2+ years of Med/Surg experience required; ED experience preferred but not required
• Candidates with both Med/Surg and ED experience are highly preferred
• Current Michigan RN license and AHA BLS required; ACLS preferred but not required
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any colored scrubs permitted
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility

This healthcare facility operates a 25-bed Medical/Surgical unit providing comprehensive inpatient care with a focus on geriatric patients. The facility maintains a full-service emergency department and offers a collaborative environment where nursing staff may float between departments based on competency. The organization utilizes modern healthcare technology including Epic EMR, CareScape patient monitors, and Pyxis medication management systems to support high-quality patient care.
