Kaizen event leadership experience.Job Description Insight Global is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to support continued business growth and increased production demand. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the manufacturing floor, solving problems in real time, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Manufacturing Engineer will support production operations, improve manufacturing processes, reduce scrap, increase productivity, and work closely with production teams to keep operations running efficiently. The position is approximately 70% shop floor support and 30% desk work. Responsibilities include spending the majority of your time on the production floor supporting manufacturing operations and troubleshooting issues. Partner with production operators, line leads, production planners, and Value Stream Managers to maintain production flow. Identify root causes of production challenges and implement corrective actions. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, delivery performance, quality, and scrap reduction. Support injection molding and compression molding manufacturing processes. Assist with tooling and mold design concepts and provide recommendations for process improvements. Review engineering drawings, support project quoting activities, and maintain process documentation. Evaluate equipment, molds, tooling, and production processes to improve efficiency and performance. Lead or participate in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement projects. Support multiple product lines and a large portfolio of manufacturing part numbers while ensuring production goals are met.
