Abbott seeks a Scientist Technical Support for its Core Diagnostics Division in Abbott Park, Illinois. The role involves performing microbiological testing, supporting product and process improvements, and providing technical expertise to resolve diagnostic-related issues.

Responsibilities

Perform microbiological testing including serial dilutions, plating, and plate counting
Manage product and process improvement projects independently
Develop experiments, analyze data, and recommend solutions
Identify adverse trends and emerging issues in products or processes
Mentor colleagues and present technical information to management

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in scientific or technical field
Associate degree with 8 years of relevant experience
Minimum 2 years' experience in related work
Experience in industrial or hospital microbiology laboratory
Strong organizational skills and ability to identify lab errors

Compensation: $61,300.00 – $122,700.00 base
