Must-Have Qualifications:\n1+ years of experience operating heavy construction equipment (excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, forklifts, dump trucks, etc.)\nStrong understanding of heavy equipment safety protocols and safe work practices\nExperience performing daily equipment inspections and preventative maintenance\nAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and challenging terrain\n1+ year Experience supporting excavation, trenching, backfilling, or construction projects\nAbility to read, understand, and follow work plans, safety procedures, and supervisor instructions\nStrong verbal communication and teamwork skills\nBasic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Teams, and mobile devices\nAbility to complete daily logs, field reports, and equipment documentation\nValid driver's license with the ability to operate company vehicles and travel between project sites\nAbility to safely lift, carry, and move materials while performing physically demanding field work\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Equipment Operator I for a leading environmental construction and infrastructure client. This individual will support field operations by safely operating heavy equipment, performing daily inspections and preventative maintenance, and assisting with the construction, repair, and maintenance of environmental control systems. The ideal candidate has experience operating equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, forklifts, backhoes, and dump trucks, along with a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.\nThis role requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions and terrain while collaborating closely with field crews, supervisors, and subcontractors. Responsibilities include equipment operation, excavation support, trenching and backfilling activities, drilling assistance, routine maintenance, documentation of field activities, and adherence to all safety and quality standards. Candidates should be comfortable working in a hands-on environment, traveling between job sites, and contributing to the successful completion of environmental construction projects.
