Financial Specialist Program Supervisor

The Department of Corrections is currently recruiting to fill a Financial Specialist Program Supervisor position. This position will be headquartered at Redgranite Correctional Institution (RGCI) in Redgranite, WI. Position Summary This position is responsible for general supervision, planning, coordination and evaluation of all business activities at RGCI. Responsibilities include cash management, accounting, Persons in Our Care account supervision, purchasing, control of the institution’s capital assets and equipment, stores inventories, and supervision of staff assigned to the Business Office.This position also has primary responsibility for administration and maintenance of the institution Local Area Network (LAN). Salary Information The starting pay is between $45136 and $77313 per year, plus excellent benefits. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. The pay schedule/range is 81-04. A 12-month probationary period is required. Qualifications Minimally qualified applicants will have experience: Monitoring and auditing financial transactions to ensure accuracy (e.g., Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, purchasing activities, cash management, bank accounts, general accounting recordkeeping) Creating and maintaining financial reports and databases with various software (e.g., Excel, PeopleSoft).
