Pride Health is hiring an Ophthalmic Medical Assistant for our client in the medical facility. This is a temporary assignment opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Schedule: 8.00am to 5pm

Location: Poughkeepsie, NY

Job Type: Contract

Contract Length: 9 months (possibility of extension)
Pay Range:  $22/hr- $27/hr
*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.   

 

Description

·         Escort and room patients, obtain medical histories, and document chief complaints.

·         Measure and record vital signs, perform vision screenings, and complete other delegated clinical procedures.

·         Assist physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers during examinations, diagnostic testing, and minor office procedures.

·         Perform selected laboratory testing and collect, label, and prepare specimens for transport to the laboratory.

·         Prepare electronic prescriptions for provider review and transmission to pharmacies according to organizational policies.
