Must be able to work any shift (AM/PM) depending upon staffing/operational needs, covering multiple locations primarily Anacortes, Whidbey Island, and occasionally Smokey Point.

Job Description

The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) will oversee the delivery of dialysis and the care of patients at Puget Sound Kidney Centers (PSKC). This position is focused on providing education to patients, supervising Dialysis Technicians, adjusting treatment plans per standing orders and care plans, monitoring patient outcomes, administering medications, participating in quality improvement projects, and collaborating with the patient's care team, which includes social workers, dietitians, and nephrologists.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery of dialysis and patient care.
• Provide patient education regarding treatment and care plans.
• Supervise Dialysis Technicians in the provision of care.
• Adjust treatment plans according to standing orders.
• Monitor patient outcomes and adjust care as necessary.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Participate in quality improvement projects.
• Collaborate with social workers, dietitians, and nephrologists.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience.
• Previous dialysis experience required.
• Prior experience in Acute or Ambulatory Nursing preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license from the WA State Board of Nursing or Multi-State Compact Nurse license required.
• Current certification of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) with a Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers card with the American Heart Association.
