Program Supervisor REM Community Services, a part of the Sevita family, provides community‑based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Pay and Schedule Pay: $20.50 per hour Schedule: Monday – Friday, 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm Requirements Driver’s License: valid for at least one year post‑permit and a clean motor vehicle record that meets Sevita’s insurability policy. Summary Position Type: Full‑time, non‑exempt, hourly supervisor role. Scope of Role Supervises a single program or unit within a program, typically supporting 4–8 individuals in residential settings or 10–15 in periodic, vocational or day programs. Balances direct support, professional responsibilities, and supervision duties. Typically works 8 to 16 flexible hours per week in a supervisory capacity; the remaining hours provide direct support. Key Responsibilities Supervise Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). Oversee day‑to‑day operations, including delivery of supports, implementation of person‑centered plans, health care, advocacy, customer engagement, regulatory compliance, and, when applicable, oversight of the physical environment. Provide direct support during non‑supervisory hours. Services and Supports Direct Support – Work regular shifts as a DSP. Records – Document, review, and audit individual records, billing, and program documentation daily. Program Planning – Assist the Program Director with development and daily implementation of individual program plans. Team Meetings – Attend and assist with routine progress meetings. Compliance – Assist in maintaining licensing compliance, implementing Sevita compliance plans, and managing individual rights. Assets Management – Monitor and reconcile individuals’ financial accounts monthly. Incidents – Complete or assist DSPs with incident reports and submit initial reports to the Program Director. Billing and Utilization – Compile census and attendance data, review accuracy, and submit data to the Program Director or billing authority. Health Care General Health Care – Monitor health, document, liaise with medical professionals, and implement preventive strategies. Appointments – Schedule or assist with health care appointments and oversee follow‑through. Medications – Administer or support medication delivery, document, review accuracy, and maintain medication security. Medical Supplies and Equipment – Purchase and maintain supplies and equipment in consultation with the Program Director. Dietary Planning – Develop menus, manage food and supply purchases, and monitor food service. Stakeholder Relations Communications – Maintain productive relationships with individuals, families, case managers, and stakeholders. Customer Service – Implement Sevita Customer Service Standards and train DSPs. Personnel Recruitment and Hiring – Assist with recruitment, interview, and hire DSPs. Employee Scheduling – Populate and maintain schedules, ensuring coverage and minimizing overtime. Training – Onboard and provide ongoing training on individuals served, program plans, policies, procedures, and environment. Evaluation – Prepare and conduct annual evaluations for DSPs. Discipline and Termination – Coach and, when necessary, remove employees; consult the Program Director on discipline and termination. Employee Safety – Ensure workplace safety and workers’ compensation compliance. Management – Lead monthly program meetings, document agendas and attendance. Financial Management Purchasing – Acquire food, household, office supplies, and minor equipment; review credit card statements and invoices. Served Funds Management – Safeguard and update financial ledgers for individuals’ served funds. Billing – Review census and attendance for accurate billing; monitor utilization. Staffing – Monitor staffing for budgetary compliance. Census Management Census Capture – Obtain daily census and maintain documentation. Census Performance – Understand census metrics and escalation of disruptions. Placements – Support location preparation for expected placements. Maintenance Vehicles – Inspect, clean, and maintain vehicles; train staff in safe operation. Living Environment – Schedule housekeeping, yard care, and maintain safety. Repair – Arrange minor repairs, monitor safety equipment, and perform monthly equipment checks. Equipment – Monitor safety equipment and ensure prompt repairs. Other Duties Perform additional duties as required, including backfilling roles. MPA – Mobile Punch Authorized for timekeeping. Supervisory Responsibilities Supervise Direct Support Professionals. Manage personnel, complete evaluations, orient, train, and make decisions regarding hires, promotions, salary changes, discipline, and terminations. Resolve employee problems within position responsibilities. Minimum Knowledge and Skills High School diploma or equivalent. One year of related work experience. Must be 18 years or older. Working knowledge of computers. Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations Current driver’s license, car registration, and auto insurance if driving on behalf of the company. Other licensure(s) or certification(s) required by regulatory authority. Work Environment Provide and oversee services in residential, vocational, or in‑home settings. Program Supervisor works at the program location and is expected to visit each shift and all employees at least once per month. Physical Requirements Heavy work; exert up to 100 lb occasionally, 50 lb frequently, or 20 lb constantly to move objects.
