Our solutions enhance system fluid longevity, protect critical system components, reduce environmental impact, promote safety, and ensure the long-term health and reliability of essential capital assets.POSITION SUMMARYThe Senior Trade Compliance Specialist leads the design, development, and execution of Parker’s global trade compliance vision, strategy, and tools to support responsible international business growth. This role partners across the enterprise to strengthen compliance programs, enable efficient global trade operations, and support Parker’s Win Strategy by helping the organization navigate complex regulatory requirements with confidence, consistency, and integrity.RESPONSIBILITIESDesign, develop, and implement global import and export compliance programs aligned with Parker policies and applicable regulations per the Government Practices ManualOversee transportation costs by selecting methods that balance cost, customer needs, and Parker’s guidelinesReview customs and export declarations, supporting documentation, and trade reporting for accuracy, completeness, and complianceApply expertise in export controls, including licensing, ITAR, OFAC, restricted party screening, sanctions, and related compliance requirementsMaintain accurate trade compliance records and product data to ensure shipments meet applicable import/export requirements and move efficiently across bordersReview trade data, duty costs, and compliance metrics to identify trends, reduce risk, improve processes, and uncover potential cost-saving opportunitiesConduct trade compliance audits, self-assessments, and corrective action planning to identify risks and strengthen compliance practicesAdvise operations and business partners on trade compliance requirements, risk mitigation, transportation practices, and process improvementsDevelop and deliver trade compliance training, workshops, and guidance to support consistent execution across the divisionSupport acquisition integration, government practices compliance, valuation reconciliation, customs bond management, and agency correspondenceProvide required free trade agreement documentation, customer support, and accurate reporting to service providers, suppliers, and government agenciesQUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in a related field or relevant industry certification, such as Licensed Customs Broker (LCB), Certified Export Specialist (CES), or Certified Import Specialist (CIS)Minimum of 5 years of experience in trade compliance, logistics, supply chain, or a related fieldCustomer-focused mindset with the ability to support internal and external stakeholdersKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESDemonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a matrixed, cross-functional environmentStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across functions and levelsProficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BIStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detailSelf-motivated and proactive, with the ability to manage priorities and drive resultsThis position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements.Parker Hannifin is a Fortune 250 global leader in motion and control technologies.
